Nov, 01, 2011 – WestEd.org, headquartered in San Francisco, CA with 17 offices nationwide launches the use of A.nnotate to be utilized in conjunction with their Envision Schools Project Exchange (ESPE), an online workspace that captures, organizes, and disseminates school-based knowledge across the Envision Schools network and beyond. WestEd Interactive developed the Exchange for Envision Schools based on a thorough discovery and planning process. ESPE makes it possible for teachers to learn from and replicate the instructional methods and materials of other teachers participating in the project. As such, ESPE organizes the components of selected Envision projects to facilitate dissemination and access. As a collaborative authoring and learning environment, ESPE plays a strong role in the expansion of the Envision network.
As a nonprofit agency, WestEd has successfully worked on evaluation and research-based projects in partnerships with schools, education agencies, policymakers, and others in education and human development at local, state, and federal levels for more than four decades.
